How do you make a bookmark?

Bookmarks can be extremely simple. Any piece of paper that is long enough to visibly stick out of a book can be used to mark the place where you stopped reading. If you would like your bookmark to be decorative, or to carry some meaningful statement, or to be exceptionally durable, you can design it accordingly, but as long as it is thin enough to fit into a book easily, and large enough to be seen easily, but not so large that it doesn't fit into a book, you can use pretty much anything you like.
