How do you make a bookmark out of paint?

If you want to know how to make a book mark out of 100% paint only, nothing else (besides glue), keep reading!

This is a collage style book mark.

Here is the list of things you will need:

1. A smooth plastic or glass surface that you are okay with getting paint on (example: glass table, big plastic lid, etc)

2. Nontoxic latex paint or any other thick paint that peels off easily.

3. A large, flat paint brush.

4. A scrapper, preferably a razor blade

5. Glue that dries clear and glossy (example: Elmer's bottled glue, NO GLUE STICKS)

Directions:

1. Take the paint brush and dab medium sized thick globs of paint on your smooth surface, or you can put the paint on directly from the bottle. Use as many colors as you want and make a lot of globs in case you mess up later. Try not to make the globs too thick, or it will take longer to dry.

2. Wait a few hours or so to let the paint dry. When it dries, take the razor blade and scrape the paint off the surface carefully. If you use a glass table to put the paint on, make sure you scrape off all the little left over paint dabs and use a glass cleaner to wipe all the exes off.

3. Take all the pieces and bunch them all together on a table the desired way you want them to be. Then, pour glue over the top of the pieces, and use the paint brush to spread it around.

4. Finally, when the glue dries (you might need to use the scraper to get it off the table again), cut the paint into the shape of a rectangle for a book mark. If you want, you can wipe glue on the other side to make it glossy too.

Now your book mark is done! You can also use this method to make collages.
