Hi As for cost, Its a flag time of appx. 12 hours X labor rate plus I payed $252. for the kit & did it myself ( TAKE IT APART FROM THE BOTTOM(oil pan), the head removal way is Just another BIG cost(gasket set, NEW HEAD BOLTS,NEW HEAD BOLTS , ECT...extra 300-400 $$$$$) P.S. IT S NOT TO FUN!!!!!! GOD LUCK!!!!!!!
If you look near the fire wall (the metal under the hood latch) to the left youll see the belt. Well if you have a flash light available youll see the belt connected to a circle device with holes, inside the hole youll see a copper colored coil. that's your alternator
The distributor is not timed with a timing light. The distributor rotor is lined up with the mark in the pick up plate when the crank is at tdc#1. The computer then does all timing from there.
It is in the intake behind the throtle body. Simply pull it out and replace it.
drain the coolent remove timing belt.....loosen bolts....4g63, take off accessory belts and remove
