I was able to access the blower by removing the glove box. The blower is toward the top and to the firewall. It was a tight squeeze getting it out and back in.

Location of 2002 dodge Dakota v6 blower motor resistor?

The blower motor resistor is very easy to find, cheap (mine was under $20cdn from the dealer) and as easy for anyone who knows how to operate a screwdriver to replace. Go to the passenger side of the cab with the door open and look up from the floor at the bottom of the dash. You should see a couple of wiring harnesses. The 5-wire harness you'll see directly below and in line with the glove box handle connects to the resistor. It is shielded by a plastic flange and it's about the size of a cigarette pack. Just unclip the harness from it and remove the 2 screws retaining the resistor, or vice versa, whichever is easiest for you. Pull out the resistor and swap for a new one. Connect the harness to the new resistor, check for correct blower speed function, and reinstall it, assuming it works properly. Done.
