Hello all...I have just recently replaced all the dash/instrument lights in my '92 previa GL..the instrument cluster has 4 retaining screws to remove ( after you take off the heater/radio surround and the cowling over the intrument cluster) and then you gently pull the whole unit toward the steering wheel, be careful as it is attached to a steel wire underneath, so that you don't pull all the wires out of the back !!Reach behind or get out and have a look through the screen and you will find 3 large, 1/4 turn, bulb holders. A gentle twist and pull out reveals a D501 pattern bulb...I have replaced mine with BLUE NEON ones from Halfords ( 6.99 a pair ) and they look absolutely wicked.I then went on to replace the heater, cigar lighter and ashtray bulbs with blue 'pea' led's ( they work one way round and not the other...trial and error but you can't blow the bulbs..).The only ones that I haven't been able to source in blue yet are the real tiny ones that fit in the various switches...I'll post again once I find some or solve the problem in some other way.If anyone knows where I might get some...? Please let me know.

What you need to do, is take off the front bumper to allow easy access take off the screws and clamps holding it in place. Also you will half to take out the turn signals as they are connected to the headlamp assembly.

This is a long process.... First you need to know somewhat what yopu are doing. First look on the upper inside of the gauge clusters. there shoudl be 2 screws take those out. Next will be the gauge clusters take the 2 screws out on the left and the 2 on the right. Once this is done take out the whole cluster. It is better to pull it form the bottom out. Take off the black plastic peice by unhooking the clamps all around the cluster. The clear plastic case as well.

once this is done the whole gauge faces wshould be showing.... w.o unhooking the wires in the back. on the front u should be able to see the exposed lights. Once this is done carefully take 2 screwdrivers and pop off the needles on the cluster u want to replace the light on. Now the face should come right off. there should be the light bulbs. Turn the case over anbd you should see the input for the bulbs. take them out and find out the size of the bulb and buy new ones. Be carefull not to touch the bulbs they will burn out QUICK! place them on and then repeat the steps carefully to place it back.

Any questions you can email me at Anthony.wiles@gmail.com

Replacing a headlight bulb for Toyota Previa. Quite simple. Open the hood. Look for the black plastic coupling or ring on the backside of the headlight. Grasp and turn counterclockwise (i believe it will be about a quarter turn). pull the socket out, then replace the bulb. I believe it is code #9004. Strongly recommend replacing both headlights at the same time. BW.

You have to pop the trunk open, then you have to unscrew the wing nut(Plastic). Then pull down the trunk liner then push the bolt that holds the wing nut. Then you are looking at the rear lenses then turn the cover of lense where the light bulb sits. Then you change the light bulb and be very careful don't touch the tip of the light. Then rechange the light bulb then put back the same way you took it apart! and that's it your done

After popping the hood, take out the air cooler and lean it on the grill, then un-plug the wire connected to the back of the headlight by reaching through where the cooler was.

Now take the rubber protector off by reaching in and pulling it out. After that, you have to pull off the support hinge which holds in the bulb, then simply take out the old bulb and insert the new H4 12V 55/60W bulb and attach everything back in securely.

You have to carefully remove the rubber protection from the bulb holder. Don't brake or damage it because you will have to put it back. After that you have to unlock the locking bracket by just pushing it out of the groove. Pull out the bulb by the holder. After that just replace the bulb. Add some waterproof grease if required. Installation is reversed to removing.

PS: when you are installing a new bulb be careful, don't touch it. If you did, wipe it with fiberless material (you can buy it in any auto store).

The question you ask is too involved for a proper answer. You need to go to a car parts store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00
