Earth Hour raises awareness of global issues, particularly in regard to our overuse of non-renewable resources, and resultant light and air pollution. In 2009, the third year of Earth Hour, WWF urged people around the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes by the time world leaders for the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, in December 2009. At this meeting, government policies to take action against global warming were to be decided. People around the world were able to cast their vote at the official Earth Hour website (see link below).
Throughout maintaining peopel's awareness of global warming issues, people are also encouraged to make their voice heard, and to make any small contribution they can, even if it means just turning of appliances for awhile.
As we study the earth and earth science we can find out what we can do as humans to help reduce the rapid increase in earth's warming.
The global warming!
Yes, it prevents global warming.
Plants are good for the environment for many reasons. The fact that the prevent global warming is just one of them. Other reasons include giving animals homes and food. Plants prevent global warming because they use Carbon Dioxide to make energy for themselves. Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas, which means that it helps trap heat from the Sun in the Earth. This is a good thing, since Earth would be very cold if there were no greenhouse gases, but global warming is caused by there being too many greenhouse gases, which make it too hard for the Earth to cool off naturally. Plants help prevent global warming because they take Carbon Dioxide out of the air.
The cause of global warming related indirectly with the use ("drilling") of Oil. If you use oil on ur machine, then it will emit a 'greenhouse' gas that will trigger the greenhouse effect thus creating the global warming.
Ozone layer affects global warming. It then affects the climate on earth and bringing a warming trend.
The organism contributing most to global warming is, unfortunately, man. When we burn fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) in industry, transport and the generation of electricity we are seriously adding to global warming.
Global warming has not helped the earth, it has harmed the earth.
The primary factors contributing to global warming are the increase in greenhouse gas emissions, such as carbon dioxide and methane, from human activities like burning fossil fuels and deforestation. These gases trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, leading to a rise in global temperatures.
No, meteors do not have a direct impact on global warming. Global warming is primarily driven by human activities that release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, leading to the trapping of heat. Meteors are natural occurrences and are not significant contributors to changes in the Earth's climate.
There is no such thing as "a global warming" global warming only happens to earth because human and our unruly decrease in the earths resources. HUMANS cause global warming.
Global Warming is coming to earth. It is because of ozone depletion.
Obviously we people are the reason why there is Global Warming! I t is because of our deeds that causes changes in this world be it good or bad.
Ozone blocks sun's radiation. A hole in it increases the temperature of the earth contributing to Global Warming.
Global warming is melting the glaciers throughout the earth's surface.
The name given to the gradual warming of the Earth is "Global Warming."
because some people dont believe in global warming
