because of the temperature of other sources

because of the temperature of other sources It's the greenhouse effect, The earth's atmosphere will take in the heat of the sun but will keep the UV rays out for the most part. The atmosphere will then hold the heat and the surface will warm up. However, the areas where the sun rarely shines doesn't warm up, but stays at a cold temperature. The polar ice cap and Antarctica are the best examples. There are times when the area will warm up melting some of the ice. It comes to pass by the sun coming closer and more visible to the location. This is also when the penguins will start to arrive.

Natural recycling: Rain and snow. Earth is much like a terrarium; basically, a closed ecological system. Scientists say there is about the same amount of water on earth now that there was 10,000 years ago, it's just that more of it is polluted now, and a lot of it is a long way from where it would do the most good.

In the core of the Earth, some of the high temperature is due to gravitational compression, and this is added to by the heat generated by the decay of radioactive materials. Since many of the radioactive elements are massive, they are concentrated near to the core.

This is the engine which keeps the outer core molten.

Heavy radioactive elements sunk to the center of the earth when it was molten because they were the most dense. Things like Uranium are responsible for the ongoing heat of the earth's core.
