Mostly because It is inland. If you look at something like the temple of Poseidon it is almost destroyed. Also Many of it's statues have been placed in museums therefor making it easier to keep in one piece.

∙ 14y agoIn its present condition it is not. But when it was new it was one of the largest Greek temples and more lavishly decorated than any other. So it was considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
