I suppose if no reason for a problem can be found and a person is having a problem with breathing or disconfort in the chest or around the lungs there is alway a chance that inflamation in the lining of the lungs might be the key to the problem. Izt should be kept in mind however that an ESR only ascertains that there is inflammation. it will not tel you where it is. If you suspect that RA might be involved an RF test may also prove use full.
