Oil is recovered by drilling down into the earth.

When the Earth runs out of oil, then we will possibly run out of plastic. Then again, there are ways of making plastic from things other than oil. And people could recycle the plastic that they already use.

The cause of global warming related indirectly with the use ("drilling") of Oil. If you use oil on ur machine, then it will emit a 'greenhouse' gas that will trigger the greenhouse effect thus creating the global warming.
for the same reason that if you pour oil on top of a jar of water the oil stays on top. the layers of the earth have different densities and so the heaviest stuff sank to the center while the lighter stuff rose to the top.
There are oil rigs and drills around the world which dig down deep into the earth and siphon the oil back up to the surface.
It is likely that they are paying nothing for the recovered oil specifically, especially since it was their oil lease anyway.
It depends on the fossil fuel:Coal:Is dug from the ground by conventional open pit or shaft minesOil:Is recovered from deep reservoirs by drilling down to them then pumping the oil out or allowing the reservoir pressure to drive it to the surfaceIS recovered from oil sands by mining and processing th bitumen heavy sandsis recovered from oil sands by in situ processes like SAGD where the oil is steamed from the deposit underground and collectedis extracted from shale formations like oil sand oilNatural Gas:Is recovered by drilling down to the reservoir and piping the gas to the surfaceIs recovered from coal mine seams by displacing the CH4 with CO2 and collecting the gasPeat:Is collected from peat bogs

Hydroelectricity is recovered through flowing streams of water and the energy they produce.
Simply because oil-bearing rock was formed millions of years ago, and is buried deep in the Earth's crust, due to being covered by successive layers of sediment.
37%
hydroelectric energy is found in the earth core

This is the question I have been trying to get answered for the last 60 days, but have been stonewalled over the idea of being payed for oil recovered. Bp will have a true cost per barrel of spilled oil eventually. They don't want the oil recovered because they'll have to pay for the recovered oil by the barrel and there cost of clean up goes up. Hide it with dispersants and the cost goes down at least for now. open the door to people with great oil recovery ideas and pay them by the barrel for recovered oil---and watch how fast it would go away---money drives everything Put every shrimp boat captain and his boat to work for himself. As it is now Bp decides who's boat goes out and how much they get payed buy the hour. How do you think it feels for these proud Fisherman to have there lively hood destroyed and then get offered to work, by the hour for a set wage, by the people that destroyed it. Oil is a liquid organic compound made up principally of hydrogen and carbon. Oil is generally divided into two categories - plant and animal oils recovered from living organisms (olive oil, etc.) and petroleum oil recovered from vast underground deposits. While some oil is used as fuel (bunker C, diesel, furnace oil), a large amount is used in the lubrication of moving parts.
