Ergonomically designed furniture always makes a great addition to your decor, depending ont he style of decor that you prefer. As a general rule (and interior designers will always tell you exceptions to your rules) ergonomic furniture is contemporary or modern in style. However, there is plenty of traditional style furniture with ergonomic principles.
For the entire desing of your home, you should think about how you are most likely to use it. In this case, the rules of ergonomics have to do with the utility and functionality of your home. So your bookcases should be near your desk, your sofas near other seating for entertaining, etc. An ergonomic desig is great for a small space, where you have to make the best use of what you have, but at the same time, be able to make a stylish impact on your space.
Hope that helps:

Architecture incorporates aspects beyond interior design such as: structure, weathertightness, site and social contexts, services (electricity, plumbing etc), building form. Aspects that are in common include: materials, finishes, furnishings, cabinetry, ergonomics, space planning Architecture is about the science and art of building essentially. An architect needs to understand how structures are put together, by distributing loads and forces in a propper structural balanced way, as to ensure they design a safe and enjoyable building. This involves an understanding of structural engineering to achieve. Lots of Architects actually design interiors of the buildings they design too, so as they both 'speak the same language' and compliment each other and work together well. While an Architect can do interior design too, an interior designer cannot do an architects job, as its goes far beyond design skills. An Architect needs to have skills in a much broader area than the interior designer, as I have touched on earlier.
Interior design involves the conceptualization and planning of a space's layout, functionality, and aesthetic appeal, considering factors like structure and ergonomics. On the other hand, interior decoration focuses on enhancing the visual appeal of a space through elements like color schemes, furniture, and accessories. While interior design encompasses the entire process from planning to execution, interior decoration typically involves the final touches and embellishments.
Ergonomics is used in architectural design by making spaces user friendly. Kitchens are designed to be practical and comfortable to work in. Light switches are placed where they are easy to get to. Counter height is made to be comfortable for cooking.

Pascal's principle can be applied to hydraulic systems, such as hydraulic lifts and brakes. This principle states that a change in pressure applied to an enclosed fluid is transmitted undiminished to all portions of the fluid and to the walls of its container.
