LED bulbs are said to last between 30,000 and 50,000 hours. Incandescent has about a 2,000 hour life span and approximately 8,000 for a "CFL" type.
Hope this helps everyone on making a decision.

Incandescent lamps are usually rated for 2000 hours. This life length is shortened by excessive switching, high source voltage and vibration. Higher voltage will shorten the life of the lamp. It is the heating and cooling of the filament that weakens the element. Norman lamps have three filament supports where vibration is not a factor. Rough service lamps get a longer life because the the five filament supports.
well the average life span for a light bulb is about a couple months. u'll know when it dies :)
you are stupid for not knowing this
There is nothing that states incandescent light bulbs will one day be illegal or outlawed. Using them is an individuals option and right.
Fluorescent tubes last longer and supply more light per watt of energy consumed than an incandescent bulb.
The costs of manufacturing costs of fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs are about the same aside from the slight different materials.
I have not had any problem obtaining incandescent light bulbs.

It depends on the design of the bulb. Typical incandescent bulbs last between 750 and 1000 hours of operation.
Halogen light bulbs are what has been around for a very long time. Incandescent bulbs are new and are more energy efficient.
Incandescent light bulbs are the most common type of light bulb in the average home. Chances are, if you look up, you'll see one. They're used for just about everything. N.B.: The light bulbs that look like long tube are fluorescent, not incandescent.

No, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs do not produce the same amount of heat.
Tungsten, as it burns long and brightly.
A regular incandescent bulb uses a lot more energy than a compact fluorescent to produce the same amount of light. Most energy used by an incandescent bulb is wasted as heat which does not give off visible light. Incandescent bulbs are cheaper to buy, but they have shorter lifetimes than other alternatives.

No, compact fluorescent bulbs run much cooler that an incandescent bulb. A CF bulb can be unscrewed when the lamp is on whereas an incandescent will give you a bad burn if this is tried.
I am replacing all of my incandescent light bulbs today.
