Depends on where you have it done but most places will give you a slightly longer bar to allow for swelling. All mine have been done with a 1.2 mm x 10. However if you have thicker lips they may give you a 12 or if you have thinner lips they may give you a 8. If you realise the bar is too short you can go back and they should change it to a longer one for you.
An auricle piercing is a stud, barbell, or loop/ring piercing half way up the outer rim of your ear. Though I'm unsure if it's in the cartilage, or just the flesh.
No. The ear piercing gun and stud are designed to be used on earlobes only. The tongue is a complex group of two major muscles joined by connective tissue and convered by over 10,000 tastebuds and pain receptors. Tongue piercing is intended to go between the muscle groups at least* (*at minimum) to a depth of 3/4 of an inch from the tip of the tongue. The ear piercing gun will not have the reach nor will the studs be long enough to allow for the swelling the will take place after the piercing is done.
There are many different types of jewellry than can be put into a lip piercing, such as a labret(stud) bcr (ball closure ring) a segment closure ring, horseshoe rings, and more. normally a fresh piercing is done with a titanium labret.
When I got my lip pierced, they already had the jewelry with them, because they have to use a special, longer stud to accomodate swelling. Perhaps if you brought you're own ball(s), they would screw those onto the stud instead of the regular ones.
If you have a new piercing that has to keep the ring or stud in for a few weeks, I would certainly recommend covering with tape and would allow it in class. I would not allow someone to spar while wearing them, the risk of injury and damage is too great. Removing the stud for an hour long class shouldn't be an issue, but consult your piercer (I always recommend going to a doctor).
month or 2
any body can get a lip piercing as long if its a unisex or male stud or jewelry
you should use a stud
A dot piercing is a piercing that has a stud.
Just get a long lip stud. The piercer should've put that in to begin with.
See your piercer, who can help you out.
Yeah, a hole is a hole. For most piercings, jewelry is pretty much interchangeable. As long as the piercing is healthy and healed, you should have no problem wearing a stud earring.
You can but it's not the wisest thing to do with a brand new piercing due to the possible hook factor.
About 2 Months. Whichh Is About The Time It Shuud Heall
When you first get your piercing, with any piercing, the people that do the piercing they use their own equipment and normally you choose they kind of stud you want. So yes you do have to get a stud first. Normally you have to wait 6 weeks before you can change any piercing, just so your skin can get used to it and also to decrease the risk of an infection.
If it's a vertical Labret piercing then it's a curved barbell, if it's a standard lip piercing it can be a labret stud or a ring.
