Snoop Dog has sold over 30 million copies of his albums. His career started in 1992, and in 2013 he has earned $8.5 million.
Album covers aren't very hard to find when you know the right places. To find album covers look at yard sales, thrift shops, and ask people in your neighborhood.
There is not a set number to reach. It just goes by sales that week the chart is published. I would say a minimum of 2,000 albums a week would get you on the list
They usually make their money off of album sales and possibly off of ITunes.
you better believe it, at least in California there is! death and taxes! from what I understand, if your services (photography) lead to a tangible product (prints, albums, CD of images), then there's sales tax, and the sales sale,(e.g., 6%, 8%, whatever it is for your state) is on the total package, not on just the cost of prints, or albums. however, if you shoot something, and you only offer a place where clients can download their images, such as an FTP server, then there's no sales tax b/c nothing tangible was delivered. so, I guess a more correct answer would be that it depends. here's a link to California's state board of equalization website, a PDF file you can read more on taxes for photographers. there may be a similar one for your state.. ask the google master! http://www.boe.ca.gov/pdf/pub68.pdf

There really isn't that much of a difference. Just the whole structure system.
Who has had more platinum albums? Metallica or Jay-z?
Lady Gaga (unfortunately) with sales of 5.8 million for her album The Fame Monster.
i think this is how it works: they have download charts and then album (CD) charts as two separate counts
66 million albums sold worldwide for the 8 official studio albums 87 million albums worldwide also including the singles, Shenanigans, and International Superhits!
Michael Jackson's Thriller album with about 110 million sales world wide.
No particular number. Having a number one album just means it was the top-selling album in a specified time period. In the US, album sales are tabulated weekly.
