The Garden of Tuileries is located in Central Paris. There is no official count of the number of visitors. The Louvre Museum is located at one end of the garden and had 8,5 milion visitors in 2008, despite being a paying site and having sometimes long queues at the entrance.
The entrance in the garden is free and its access easy. It is also a spot favored by many Parisians, for a few minutes or for half a day. Based on these facts, we can only assume that there are much more visitors to the gardens, than for the Louvre museum.
There are six editions of Maillol's Air, located at the Kröller-Müller Museum, Jardin des Tuileries, J. Paul Getty Museum, Norton Simon Museum, and Kimbell Art Museum.

There are many parks, and many "jardins" which are considered to be "parcs" in Paris. Here is a list of what are considered to be the "parcs" of Paris: Parc Andre Citroen, Parc de Bagatelle, Parc de Belleville, Parc de Bercy, Parc de la Terlure, Parc de la Villette, Parc des Buttes-Chaumont, Parc des Expositions de Paris, Parc du Champ-de-Mars, Parc Monceau, Parc Georges Brassens, Parc Montsouris, Place des Vosges/Square Louis XIII, Square des Arenes de Lutece, Square du Vert-Galant.... If you want to know what the "gardens" are -- which are much more like what we consider to be "parks," here is a list: Bois de Boulogne, Bois de Vincennes, Jardin Atlantique, Jardin du Bassin de l'Arsenal, Jardin des Champs-Elysees, Jardin des Halles, Jardin du Palais Royal, Jardin des Plantes, Jardin des Tuileries, Jardin du Luxembourg.
The name tells the story. Jardin means garden; des tuileries means of the tiles. The garden was part of the grounds of a Palace built on the clay fields where clay tiles had been made in the early 16th century. The palace was built in 1559 for one of the Medicis of Italy with gardens in the Tuscan style. The garden was re-landscaped in 1664 in the formal French style. It is now surrounded by Paris, partially bordered by the Louvre and the Seine, and is the central park of Paris.
