yes, it has affected the haitians because they are mainly only eating mudcookies. some aren't even eating anything, but for the people that are getting help are basiclly eating rise and beans.
So far the death toll is 75 people. However, because many people are STILL under buildings etc, the death count could rise.

A seismic wave, known as a surface wave, can cause the surface of the land to rise and fall during an earthquake. These waves travel along the Earth's outer layers and can produce the most visible and destructive effects on the ground.
It would have to be a very strong earthquake for you to see the land moving. If the earthquake is strong, building may fall down, dust may rise, lampposts will rock, rocks may tumble, so that is what you might see.
Seismic waves, specifically surface waves such as Love and Rayleigh waves, are responsible for causing the surface of the land to rise and fall during an earthquake. These waves travel along the Earth's surface and can produce the shaking and rolling motion that is felt during seismic events.
An outer rise earthquake occurs at a subduction zone where the descending tectonic plate bends and flexes, causing stress to build up. When this stress is released, it can result in an earthquake. Outer rise earthquakes usually happen in the deep ocean and are associated with the bending of the subducting plate.
Seismic waves, specifically surface waves, can affect the surface of the land by causing it to rise and fall like waves on an ocean. These waves are typically generated during an earthquake and can produce the most visible effects on the Earth's surface.
comet strike ,earthquake, landslide on land or sea massive sea floor rise or subside
They go deep in the ground for land and rise up when its warmer.
Possibly, but usually they just 'crack'. Sinking only applies to certain mountains that appear as flatlands. For most mountains, they are made due to the folding of the crust. If the earthquake happens to loosen the pressure, then yes it may 'unfold' over time.
The estimate of the earthquake magnitude was adjusted from 8.9 to 9.0.
