How much does a quarter horse cost?

This all depends upon the horse. If you just want a companion horse, they can be free. If you want a horse that is well-broke, well-trained, safe, and sound it can cost you anywhere from 4,000 dollars to 15,000 dollars. If you want a nice show horse who you can ride in national shows, it can cost anywhere above 20,000 dollars. Obviously the more you pay the more you get with horses.

it depends on the horses linage and body build. if a horse has no linage and isn't all that fancy, it will be around 500-5,000 dollars. if its a nice horse and has show horse linage it could be anywhere from 10,000-100,000 dollars.

A rescue will only cost a couple hundred dollars, whereas a descendant from Peptoboonsmal or Big Chex to Cash will cost thousands. I got my boy as a 3 y/o barrel/rope/pole prospect and payed 1,500 for him. I've had him for 4 years and he's earned me more than double what I payed for him.
