You can paint the exterior of your above ground pool. You will first have to clean it and use sand paper to lightly scruff the surface. You should use an exterior primer to prime the surface, and then an exterior paint designed for the type of surface your are painting to paint it.

I would say if I had bid on painting this house when I painted it would have been around 1700-2000. That is because of so much brick and that is time consuming trimming in around to keep paint off bricks. If you want to know how much paint, it would take about 6 gallons plus primer for any bare spots and caulking around doors and windows.
For information for exterior house painting you should visit your local Lowe's or Home Depot department store. You can find help, ideas, suggestions and much more on just about any product from a qualified customer service representative.

House painting should be performed by a professional painting contractor who is licensed and insured. Interior or exterior house painting may seem like a simple activity but it is much more complex. Find a contractor willing to simplify this process and make it a pleasurable experience. Use a painting checklist to help you cover the essentials during your interviews.
I own a house painting company in N.Y state. Yes, a legitimate painting contractor is suppose to charge NYS Sales Tax on labor and materials that pertain to any interior or exterior painting. If the painter is working for a non profit organization, the organization must show a tax exempt certificate to the contractor and then there would be no sales tax. If the project is a capital improvement which would primarily be the painting of new construction then the property owner is responsible to provide the painting contractor with the proper documents and tax will not be charged. NYS requires a painting company to charge sales and use tax on all labor and material that are involved in the painting/coating/staining of pre-existing surfaces. There are many painters in NYS that are working illegally and dont charge sales tax. Illegal painting company's should not be hired, if they are not paying sales tax they are probably not licensed and probably have no insurance. -Thomas Kellogg Kellogg's Painting Company www.kelloggspainting.com Painting homes and business in the Hudson Valley and Catskills, New York areas.

It's recommended to bleach and power wash prior to painting the exterior of a home. A primer/sealer should be used on any bare wood or masonry and on any chalky surface however if the surface is clean and sound, a good quality paint should adhere without a problem.

After framing a house you will have to either put plywood or particle board on the exterior walls of the new construction. Then you must put a sheathing on top of that. There are many different types of sheathing availabe and you should choose one that fits your needs. There are no codes that say you have to use one particular type of sheathing, unless of course the home owner requires Duro Foam.
