There is no minimum age listed in the statutes. New Jersey lists 18 as the age to get a tattoo. But they do allow a minor to be tattooed with written permission of the parents.

I don't find a state law regarding it, but there is an Albuquerque City Ordinance that requires you be 18 or have a parent with photo ID personally provide permission.

well... the law for tattooes are not really enforced by the people you could probably get away with being 16 depending on how old you look :) im not for certain though

In most areas of New Zealand it's 18. Although if you're under 18 you can get a tattoo with your parent/caregiver's consent.
