So, those guns are filled with dirt, dust, sweat, blood, and just about anything else because once its in there, it can't get out. Guns also cause trauma to your lobes so it'll be more painful than a needle. Walmart/Claire's jewelery has been known to corrode or breakdown IN YOUR EAR. Bottom line, if you want to keep yourself safe, don't ever get anything pierced with a gun.
