I have a 1997 Chevy Astro Van that won't start and I am getting no fuel and no spark?

Try slapping the fuel tank, maybe the pump is gone. also bad for fuel line poppet valves under intakes. These vans will only run on a certain fuel pressure! Any lower and you can have problems. get it checked out fuel pump is in gas tank. To fix the fuel pump, the tank has to be removed (no smoking) ,so some diy mechanics cut a hole in the top above the fuel pump ,so the next time it will be easy.

An engine needs 3 things to run. Air, fuel, and spark. You are either missing one of these or it is firing at the wrong time. Just because the fuel pump is running does not mean it is pumping fuel to the injectors. A clogged fuel filter comes to mind. Could be the pump is bad and not really pumping any fuel. Check to make sure you have fuel. change the cap and rotor

How's your battery? Ifyou have a low batteryits the alternator. If you do not Tap on the starter a few times if it then starts its the starter. I just went thru this so after I got mine started and took off the transmission wouldn't shift. SO it could be a speed sensor or a short . That's all I know

it wont start because one of the three requirements for an internal combustion engine is missing. 1. fuel, 2 spark, 3 air. If no spark replace the ignition module, it is usually the culprit. If no fuel check fuel filter and fuel pump. If no air then you havent been doing your maintenance.

first check you have a good (blue) spark if so check fuel pressure, should be around 53 psi, schraeder valve to check pressure on fuel pipe rear end of engine in cab (drivers side) if pressure slightly down will not start or run like a pig, normal cause gauze fuel strainer on t piece pick up on fuel pump in tank blocked
