Amelia Earhart was a strong woman who would what she wanted & no one could change her mind. She probably would have flown on that last flight anyway as long as she had everything prepared. At least that's what I think.

This may be her birthday, which is July 24 ( in l897) this might be a local observance in Atcheson, Kansas, where she was born and a local museum honors her life and career- known, appropriately- as the Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum.
It is not known if Amelia Earhart was lost on her flight. It is known that she was low on gas and is presumed to of crashed into the ocean.

Amy Otis Earhart. It should be noted that (Amy) is the nickname for Amelia. Somewhat curiously she died on Halloween of l963. It is not known if she was related to the Elevator manufacturer. (Different sort of Lift!)

Samuel Earhart was a relative of Amelia Earhart and he died in 1851. Not much else is known about Samuel Earhart.

As far as is known Amelia Earhart never had biological children. There have been rumors of adopted stepchildren, it is difficult to see how a globe-trotting aviatrix could have handled the Mother role- at least when actively flying.
