Probably just a service. Get a deal. Go for a 'free' inspection with an option to service or overhaul/repair
your wife
Not much info there but my guess would be the the fuel pump.
Classic sign of low steering fluid.
If you are abused then seek help. Otherwise quit whinning and mind your parents.
Most likely the power supply or a failing hard drive.
A mass air flow system will whistle and sound like a whine if you have one on your car, or power steering will also if fluid is low or pump is going out. Alternators will also. May not be transmission related. However if your car has alot of miles and fluid hasn't been changed, it wouldn't hurt to change it and the filter. Smell trans fluid. If it smells burnt then you propably do have trans problem.
Thank your lucky stars and stop whinning! 6" is good for any age. Anything more is just a waste.
if it makes a loud whinning noise when you turn power steering pump bad or needs fluid if not it might be a popped belt
Generally, this means your fan belt is old and wearing. I would recommend installing a new one, they are very cheap and easy to install.
There could be many reasons why the Acura makes a high pitch whining noise. It could be that the brakes or the rotors are going out.
Are you sure it was the water pump whinning? Cause they don't make a noise, even when they are going bad, or atleast ive never heard one make a noise. Sounds to me like its the torque converter, cause when they go bad they whine, and make you lose power... The engine can be running, but with the converter going out it will whine and you are going anywhere. Even though its whinning, the car might be able to go afew, but definitely, wont make it far. My 92 Spirit had a converter that went out. Converter was whinning, and I could still move it around, but wouldn't trust it on the road.
its must be a normal sound because mine does that as well...it could also be that your powersteering fluid is low or going out if it does while turning corners
