Dirt is denser than water, so it will eventually settle to the bottom, but that would take a VERY long time.
----
This depends on the dirt.
If say the Dirt containe some salt, then the salt will dissolve in the water and not sink down. It is watersoluble.
Some components might be heavyer than water, and will obviously sink to the bottom.
If the dirt contain some oily substances, then these substances will float on top.
Dirt is not a simple compound that is the same all over the world.
Dirt is chemistry at a quite high level :-)
Regards.
Also, very very small particles will form a colloid and not sink. It's like milk, which is mainly a colloid, not a solution.
because all of the atoms spread and fall in the bottom of the water so there is nothing to hold it up
bones, dirt, rocks, water, diamonds, crystals, trees, lots more but i can't say them all.
It means that we might just be drinking Marie Antoinette's bath water! It is amazing that the earth recycles ALL of it's water.
all sorts of stuff rocks ,dirt ,almosr anything
It's from all the dirt that goes in there. After 2 days,it gets all crusty, yellow, and hard.
When dirt is placed in water in a jar, the heavier particles in the dirt will settle to the bottom of the jar due to gravity. Smaller particles may remain suspended in the water, creating a murky or cloudy appearance. Over time, the larger particles will continue to settle at the bottom, leaving clearer water at the top.
water, foam, dirt, fire blanket and just about all of them dirt is always the best and there is lots of it
sieves work by having holes on the bottom and all the dirt and water goes through and leaves the gold
One of the main methods to look for gold was in the rivers for gold nuggets. The miners had a sluce box and rocker to find the gold. The sluce box was a wooden box with an box on top to shovel in dirt and to poor water over the dirt. The dirt/water would run down a tracer that emptied into the river. In the tracer the gold nuggets would fall to the bottom instead of washing out. The rocker had a similar idea but it rocked back and forth to separate the dirt with water. Again shovel fulls of dirt were put into the rocker to separate dirt from gold. The miners doing this would stand in dirt and water all day long with shovels of dirt and water for the few nuggets they could get.
They just slide in the salt ( SEA salt) water and slide out. they also clean them selves by rubbing all the dirt off them.
Naturally the ocean is supposed to be clear. The blue is an illusion of the sky reflecting on the water. The color we see now is a mix of all the dirt, sand, slime, and seaweed at the bottom of the ocean.
Dirt holds moisture or water, the walls of an above ground pool are thin, yes you can put dirt around the walls, however the trade off is going to be you will shorten the length of life of the pool walls because they will rust away, so you are the one that needs to decide what you want to do, you can put plastic between the walls and the dirt or sand that will give you some extra time before the walls and frame rust away. Just a reminder from me the bottom of all most all above ground pools have dirt or sand around the bottom of the frames and a little bit of dirt on the walls you should get 5 years or a little more before the frame weakens or the side or a wall blows out. your warranty should disclose this information, or call a pool dealer in your area.
All rivers carry some dirt in them as they flow. So as the Niagara river goes over the Falls, there would be some dirt in the water.
because some countries especially Africa are like deserts because deserts just have mud and dirt all over. And deserts don't have water besides the little bit of water is the cactus. just joking i dont know if this is true
Yes, it is very simple all u do is put a little dirt in the cup put a seed in the dirt then put more dirt over it then u water it.
Because when the water flows through the rocks, the rocks catch all the dirt.
