Joshua - Read Joshua 10:11-15
After she did Twilight and Adventureland, and before shooting New Moon and The Runaways.
The moon circles the Earth approximately every month. It takes 27.3 days for the moon to make one orbit around our planet. Even though it looks like the moon is moving from East to West, it actually isn't. It's moving from West, to East. If you go outside and find the moon, look at the stars behind it. Go outside the same time the next night and the moon will be noticeably East from where it was the night before. :) That's also why the moon rises almost an hour later each night.
This could be a tough one, but the BIGGEST recent one would have to be the 'water on the moon' test. NASA crashed a probe (on purpose) to see if there is water on the moon. The data's come back, but we still don't know!
1609- Galileo invented the telescope1961- President John F. Kennedy announced that people can get shot into space and explore the moon more. 1969- I still don't know. :)
neither the moon revolves around the earth but the earth revolves around the sun and the sun revolves around the center of our galaxy. nothing has ever been stationary since even before the big bang.
The person watching them.
It Stands For The Moon.

Nowhere, it continues on its orbit. It is perfectly possible to see the moon in the sky while the sun is still up just before and just after the full moon.
There is gravity on the moon but it is a third of planet earth

bible
It is difficult to tell exactly when the Moon is full just by looking; a Moon that's a day or two before the full moon is almost as bright as the full moon itself, and it remains quite bright for a day or two after.
Joshua:10:12: Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
An elleptical moon is when the moon is in shadow during a lunar ecclipse, this causes a masive shadow on one point on the earth though it is very small compared to the earth, before the moon covers the sun, there is a part of the sun still vissible and it looks like the moon just before the new moon, the sun is very bright then and it is therefore called the diamond ring effect.
