He did serve with the Nazi army in the closing portions of the War , he was essentially a draftee. large contingents of the Hitler Youth, which he belonged to, as did millions of Nazi German boys, were in effect militarized as they came of age- and an entire division of the Waffen-SS (The twelfth) was raised from the Hitler Youth rolls and was officially known as the Hitler Youth Division. There is no allied counterpart with the Boy Scouts!
