Yes this means the steel belt has broken inside the tire.
If one tire is larger than the other or one tire is more worn than the other, yes, it can cause the traction light to come on.
A broken belt is bad - If it sways from side to side each rotation it's broken a belt. If a tire behaves oddly in any way you should change it.
A bad wheel bearing can cause your tire to tilt inward. The motion of the tire tilt thing in word, while you are driving, can cause the axle to break and the tire to come off.
Check the tires for being round. Sometimes a belt will slip and make the tire egg shaped.
some time in may
Look at where the tread edge and sidewall meet. You can see a bead that runs around the tire. It looks like a bad caulking job.
Yes
Some quick answers : Stone stuck in the treads of the tire, a bad bearing, nail in the tire.
Lack of tread. (overall) Lack of tread (partially) caused a steering fault. Carbuncles on side wall. Splits on sidewall Out of round . (looks like it's going up and down when spun )
Bad mounted tire, bad alignment, worn or damaged steering components (e.g, tie rods, spring pins and bushings, ball joints, etc), bad wheel bearings.
If the monitor has the location of the tire that is sending the low signal, you check the tire pressure on that tire. If it does not have a location light, you check them all. If they are all ok according to the pressure that is listed on the inside door frame sticker or the sidewall, then you should take the car to a shop that has a diagnostic reader that can talk to the tire sensors and see if one of them is bad or the battery on one of them is going dead. This is not free to have done by the way.
Perhaps brake pads need replacement or bad wheel bearing
Worst tire abuse is usually by drivers who crank the wheel around with power steering when vehicle is not rolling. This is a major cause of belt separation. Curbing is also bad, this ruins the sidewall and can easily damage it severely. Running a tire with low pressure causes most of the failures I see.
Could be a right rear axle bearing going bad.
Bad tire? try it in another location Bad wheel bearing? Rear brakes not adjusted properly?
my e-mail is eaglebear77@yahoo.com. where is the viberation coming from? front ,back? it could be a bad tire, bolts not tight on tire,or ball joints going out. is it front wheel drive or rear?
