Is it bad that a lot of people say your tattoo looks fake Its been on my forearm for a little over a year?

Bad is subjective, it's only bad if you let it bother you. New tattoos (yours counts as new) look fake because they haven't faded much, and ink hasn't really bled out much. It means you're taking good care of it and not baking it in the sun, so it will last longer. Think of it this way: some tattoos fade so badly, so fast that people have to get them re-inked in a few years. Waste of money. If it wasn't so fresh, you'd have to get it touched up sooner. I think you're pretty lucky.

soaking in a tub and going swimming certainly isn't good for a new tattoo, but also new tattoos often look faded until the are healed because the damage skin looks a little bit cloudy over top of it. wait until it's healed and then see what it looks like.
