Its not the best for your phone but i must say its pretty messy.
If you would want to take the chance its up to you. It actually depends on what kind of hot glue gun you use. I like to use the mini hot glue gun. I decorated my phone with it and it stays on and doesnt harm my phone. Try the 'Craft mini low temp.' :)
