in short- no. There are dangers with every piercing in terms of aftercare and infection etc, but as long as you keep your piercing clean and you're concious and careful of it then it will be fine. It may need to be taken out or covered up during sport or any time when it may become a hazard but this also goes with any other piercing, not just lip.
