In the 1990s, Orion Pictures (which was then inherited the rights to the series), a film version of The Addams Family (released November 22, 1991). Due to financial problems the studio now, Orion sold the American rights of the film for Paramount Pictures. After the initial success of the film was followed by a sequel Addams Family Values ​​(released November 19, 1993, with distribution by Paramount).
