Well, im not sure if it's a painting, but have heard about it. The story goes that on one side(Hell) All these people were sitting around a big pot of delicouse soup, the best-tasting soup ever. The only way they could eat it was by using long, big ladles that they were holding. They wanted to eat the soup, yet they were starving. On the other side (heaven) More people were sitting around another pot of the same soup, with the exact same lades, but they were as happy as could be, and well-fed. They ate the soup whenever they were hungry, and enjoyed it. So, why was one group happy and the other starving. Because the people in the first group (hell) were selfish and focused only on helping themselves, and they couldn't feed themselves because the ladles were too big and long, wereas the people in the second group (heaven) had learned that the only way to eat the soup was to feed each other. I hoped this helped, and I hope I told it right! :)

I have two Brugolin paintings both with tears in their eyes. I found these at a rummage sale in rural Pa. I assumed they were imported paintings sold at some "starving artist" sale. I purchased them because i I was surprised at the quality of the work. I always presumed they had little value. Jerry Przybylek
