It takes 365 days for Earth to orbit the sun. Mercury takes 88 days, Venus takes 224 days, Uranus takes about 84 years, and Mars takes 664 days. Neptune takes 164 years and 9 months to orbit the sun. The planet Jupiter takes almost 12 years and Saturn takes 29 and a half years.

the lenght of rotation around the sun for earth is 365.5 earth days

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's actually incorrect. The actual length, in days, of the rotation of the Earth around the Sun is 365.24 days, which is why we have a leap year every four years, not every two.

How do you place a satellite in earth orbit around sun?

It would need to be launched into a tangent plane parellel to that of the earth's orbit around the sun, with the same speed of rotation around the sun

What Movement of the earth makes the year?

A year is a full rotation around the sun.

What causes day and night in?

It's when the earth makes a full rotation around the sun.

How is rotation connected to the length of a day?

Rotation detemines the length of a day. When viewed from earth the sun appears to rise and set, however the earth is infact rotating around a central axis while the sun remains relatively still.

What is the length of rotation and revolution periods of your planet?

The rotation periodof Earth is about23 hours and 56minutes. The revolution period of Earth around the Sun is approximately 365.25 days.

The length of a day is based on?

What is the length of day rotation of earth?

It takes a year (about 365 days) to revolve around the Sun once. (Perhaps that's what you meant.)

Is the earth's rotation around the sun contant?

Rotation refers to spin around the axis.

How are the length of the day and year related to Earth's movement through space?

WELL THE LENGTH OF THE DAY IS RELATED TO THE Rotation AND REVOLUTION OF THE PLANET BECAUSE THE PLANET HAS LENGTH BUT IT MIGHT NOT HAVE THE SAME THING AS OUR LENGTH AND IT HAS THE SAME ROTATION AND REVOLUTION.WHAT DO YOU YOUNG GUYS AND LADIES THINK ABOUT MY ANSWER ?PLEASE COMMENT ON IT I WILL APPROACHED THAT BY.

What are the 2 movement of the earth?

1. Rotation (earth rotates on it's axis) 2. Orbit (earth orbit's arount the sun)

How does the planets distance from the sun affect the length of a day?

Not at all. The planet's daily rotation is independent of its distance from the Sun.

Does the earths rotation cause the sun to remain in orbit?

No. Earth orbits the sun, not the other way around. Earth's orbit depends on the mass of the sun, not Earth's rotation. Earth's rotation does, however, give the appearance that celestial objects revolve around it.

How does the sun change throughout the year?

The rotation around the sun the cause a shift.
