My best friend is in a bad place and being sexually exploited. How can I help from the other side of the world?
My closest friend lives in Australia and I live in the US. She lives in an apartment with 5 male roommates. She can't get a job (personal/health reasons), has no income, can't pay rent, and has to perform sexual favors for one of her roommates in order to stay there. She has no family or anyone close nearby that she can reach out to for help. The guy she's doing favors for is starting to ask for more and more each time, and at the moment she has no other option but to comply. She hates it. She also cooks and cleans for all of them every day. I don't have any money to spare and she refuses to go to a women's shelter or seek help. It breaks my heart to see her suffer like this just to live, but it feels like I can't do anything about it. What can I do to help?
