You have a 5% chance. The 5% are people that are very lucky, like Cameron Diaz she hit the one-million dollar lottery and started to act and the directors knew she had money so she must be skilled. The other 5% are people just born to famous or rich families like Paris Hilton! So I reccommend a back-up career.!

You should ask an art teacher who knows you. If you do not have one, you could take evening classes and be told if you have talent.

There are & have been hundreds, dare I say thousands worldwide, of regular working actors that neverbecame "famous" so the chances aren't great.

For instance taking a quick look at IMDb, have you ever heard of Jesse Plemons? Benito Martinez? Sara Wright? Jayma Mays? These four actors all have recent acting roles w/ healthy amounts of acting credits to their names but they can hardly be called "famous".

There are maybe a few thousand "famous singers" in the US (being pretty generous with the definition of "famous") out of a total population of around 313 million. So "one in a hundred thousand" is about the right order of magnitude.
