How do you catch Sodowoodo in Pokemon HeartGold?
You first have to beat Whitney and get the Squirtbottle. Go past Goldenrod (including National Park) and you will see a tree in the way of Ecruteak City, Violet City and Goldenrod City. Use the Squirtbottle on it and it'll attack. The Pokemon will be Sudowoodo at lvl 20. It is a rock type so use a weak grass attack to lower it's hp (bullet seed, vine whip, etc) then use a status inflicting move (such as the 3 powders, Thunder Wave or Hypnosis) and then use a poke ball (It's moves will most likely be Rock Throw, Faint Attack, Low Kick and Mimic). My suggestion is to use a Great Ball, a great Pokemon for a battle like this is a Oddish or Gloom which you can find in Ilex Forest, but I warn you that it make take a while as it's apperance is like 5% maybe 6% of the time. idk, but I am telling you the truth that they are hard to find. btw a fire type is hard to find so just capture a growlithe in the the next patch of grass (inless Ho-Oh or Typhlosion is gonna be your fire-type) please be aware that wild Pokemon have a level difference of 10 near the end it is 20) so catch and train easily well you can, my friend. kk bye, I nearly beaten this game so if you need any more tips, advice or guidance just send a E-mail my way at Pokemon4life@ymail.com. kk, bye bye.

This time he is blocking the Diglett cave. Make sure to bring lots of Pokeballs to catch it! This is the only chance you get to have a Snorlax in this game, if you faint it, you're out of luck unless you find a Pokemon Yellow, Red or Blue to trade with.
