I had the same problem. It turned out that sludge from the rocker cover was being drawn into the idle control valve via the small hose leading from the oil filler. Take idle control valve off, clean thoroughly and in the housing and clamp off the hose. Refit, should be oK Cliff
If the engine is of the same type it will. ie an XUD engine (1905cc) from one peugeot or citroen will fit another xud type but I do not know if it would fit on a HDi engine. On the 1.9 XUD the starter is the same on turbo and nonturbo models.
throttle body or idle air control value
The idle speed is factory pre-set, and no adjustment is available. If the idle is too high, or too low, you will be having other problems that will affect the idle. In cooler temperatures, it will take the engine longer to come out of fast idle, as the engine warms up to operating temp. If the idle is too high/stays at a higher than normal idle, then take the thing to get it repaired. Running a car in gear(automatic transmission) with a higher than normal idle, can damage the transmission.
Idle is when the computer is on, but it is not in use at that time. For example, were you using the computer, then stopped for a period (you made no key depressions or the like), your computer then becomes idle. Just consider it as if it were a car; if you start your car and leave it in park, then your car is idle (its on but not in use). Were u to put your car in drive, it would no longer b idle (the same can be said with a computer if u make a key depression). Hope this helps. == idle== lazy ===
If that is the only problem, then yes.
how do I bleed water system on the 806 peugeot
How do you change fuel filter on peugeot 806 diesel?
Actually there are several different models of the Peugeot 806. The petrol ones are: Peugeot 806 2.0 (here we have two different ones: first one was built from 1994 - 1998 and second one was built from 1998 - 2002) , Peugeot 806 2.0 16V, Peugeot 806 2.0 Turbo (here we have two different ones: first one was built from 1994 - 1998 and second one was built from 1998 - 2002) and finally the Peugeot 806 1.8.
Yes, you can generally swap a Peugeot 406 1.9 diesel engine into a Peugeot 806 1.9 diesel, as they share similar engine designs and components. However, you must ensure that the engine mounts, transmission, and ECU compatibility are addressed. Additionally, modifications to the wiring harness and potentially the exhaust system might be necessary for a successful installation. Always consult with a professional mechanic for specific compatibility and installation details.

The idle valve, also known as the idle air control valve, on a Peugeot 307 is typically located on or near the throttle body. It regulates the amount of air entering the engine during idle conditions. Accessing it may require removing certain components or covers, depending on the engine model. Always consult a service manual for specific instructions related to your vehicle's engine type.
The engine idle regulator on a Peugeot 406 SRI Turbo is typically integrated into the throttle body or positioned near the intake manifold. It is responsible for controlling the idle speed of the engine. To locate it, you may need to remove some engine covers or components for better access. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams related to your model.
