Not sure what you mean by "anterior and posterior", but veins return blood to the heart. I believe you are mistaken. the Superior and Inferior vena cava return blood to the heard.
intrathoracic, in mediastinum, anterior to esophagus and posterior to the diaphragm
Right Ventricle. The most posterior is the Left Atrium
The sternum is anterior to the heart.
Through it's own network of arteries in the heart itself. These are the arteries that are disrupted during a heart attack, and they are also bypassed during a bypass surgery with veins from the legs.
The left coronary artery branches into the anterior interventricular artery which supplies blood to the interventricular septum and anterior walls of both ventricles and the circumflex artery which supplies the left atrium and the posterior walls of the left ventricle. The right coronary artery branches into the right marginal artery which serves the myocardium of the lateral right side of the heart and the posterior interventricular artery which supplies the posterior ventricular walls.Reference: Marieb, Elain N. pulmonary veins
The frontal (also known as coronal) seperates the heart into anterior and posterior portions.
anterior tibial, femoral, posterior tibialfemoral, posterior tibial, anterior tibial
No, the heart is anterior to the spine. Posterior means "behind" therefore the spine is posterior to the heart.
A transverse section of the heart that separates the anterior and posterior parts is known as a coronal section. This section allows for the visualization of both the front (anterior) and back (posterior) portions of the heart, providing a comprehensive understanding of its structure.
The heart has three surfaces: anterior, inferior and posterior. The anterior, sternocostal surface, the inferior or diaphragmatic surface and the base of the heart, the posterior surface.
intrathoracic, in mediastinum, anterior to esophagus and posterior to the diaphragm
No, a sagittal cut would not be done to achieve anterior and posterior sections of the heart. A transverse cut would be more appropriate to separate the heart into anterior and posterior sections. A sagittal cut divides a structure into left and right portions.
they are responsible for bringing deoxygenated blood back to the heart (left side) to be distributed to the rest of the of the body
The thymus is located anteriorly in the chest, behind the sternum (breastbone) and in front of the heart.
Inferior to the heart: Stomach Superior to the heart: Brain Anterior to the heart: Rib cage Posterior to the heart: Spine Latereral to the heart: Lungs
The heat is posterior to the sternum, not anterior. It is a midline structure, like the sternum, so it is not lateral to the sternum.
