If the key is still in the ignition, leave it there! Use your spare key to open and lock the doors as you continue to drive it. Get it to a reliable mechanic. He/she will remove the entire ignition and have a duplicate key made. If you try to repair it yourself, you may wind up having to re-key the entire vehicle and this can be much more expensive.
