There were three different songs called 'the Power of Love" recorded by three different artists at around about the same time. The artists were: Huey Lewis and the News, Jennifer Rush and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. However, Jennifer Rush's version was released 7 months after Frankie Goes to Hollywood's and so they may not have been in the charts at the same time.

In the 1950's it was common for different versions of the same song to be in the chart at the same time. One example is "The Ballad Of Davy Crockett" which was a individual chart success for each of Bill Hayes, Fess Parker and Tennessee Ernie Ford, between Feb- April 1955. Altogether over 10 million copies of the song were sold.

Also in 1955 numerous artists including Les Baxter, Al Hibbler, Jimmy Young, Roy Hamilton and June Valli had chart success with different versions of "Unchained Melody", some of which appeared in the charts at the same time.

In the 2008 UK Official Christmas Singles Chart, "Hallelujah", originally by Leonard Cohen, occupied numbers 1 (Alexandra Burke), 2 (Jeff Buckley) and 36 (Cohen himself).
