Was Charles jantzen infected with something when he jumped in the cesspool to catch the fowl?

I believe that he may have contracted some kind of disease from the water in the cesspool when he was trying to capture waterfowl on animal planets animals cops show,seems it was shortly after that rescue he started to lose a lot of weight really quickly and start to look sick.he didn't look like he was just simply on a diet because his muscle tone is just not there as well as the fatty tissues.it is terrible to think that he may have something that will take his life but far be it that hes not the hero in the end if that's the case.i will pray for his health to be good so he can continue being the great animal hero that he truly ha been.
