no, the Nazis believed in strengh, their philosophy was that if you wanted something then you should take it.

They did use the democratic process to rise to power and to change the government into a one party system (after they failed to take power by force).

How was Hitler able to get the Nazis to hold the majority in the Reichstag?

After the Great Depression, the people of Germany realized the democratic central government was not doing its job of keeping the economy stable. Thus people started to vote for the far right (the NAZIs) and the far left (the communists). During one of the elections, the Nazis were a few seats short of a majority by votes, so the Nazis played on the Red Scare and outlawed the communist party. Without the communist party as its rival, Hitler was able to obtain a majority in the government.

What group did the Nazis form during World War 2?

The term Nazi is derived from the first two syllables, as pronounced in German, of the official name of the German Nazi Party, the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. The Nazis did not originally refer to themselves as "Nazis," and instead used the official term, Nationalsozialisten ("National Socialists"). In German, Nazi mirrors the term Sozi, a common and slightly derogatory term for the Social Democratic Party of Germany (Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands), the Nazis' main opponents before obtaining power. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazi
