From 1964 until 1972 comparatively few model 12's were made, these (I believe) were all high grade guns in 12 guage and built in the Winchester custom shop. In 1972 Winchester reintroduced the M#12 as a production gun, again in 12 guage only. Field, skeet, trap models, and 1 or 2 commemoratives were available. A limited edition 20 guage was made by Miroku of Japan in the mid 90's. Browning also made a number of M#12's in 20 & 28 guage in various grades starting in the late 80's thru the early 90's. I must admit that this all a little foggy in my mind and I would not mind at all if someone either added to or edited my answer.
