Maritime Equatorial Air Mass (mE) originate over warm sea water. Maritime Tropical (mT) also originates over the warm sea waters.

A sea breeze usually originates during the day and flows toward the land. A sea breeze is most intense during mid to late afternoon.
Air over the land heats up causing an up-draft. Air over the sea is cooler and therefore is drawn over the land to replace the rising up-draft. Thus a sea breeze is created which flows from the sea to the land. The opposite can happen at night when the sea air is warmer and rises, creating a land breeze which flows from land to sea.
Heart excitation originates in the sino-atrial node.
mT originates over a warm sea.
cT originates over warm land.
The warm air usually originates from a tropical or subtropical latitude, usually from over a warm body of water such as the Gulf of Mexico.

A maritime tropical air mass would most likely be moist and warm, as it originates over warm ocean waters.
Warm and humid
The fuel will be the same no matter what ocean or sea the hurricane is over: warm moist air with the moisture provided by warm ocean water.
Hurricanes develop over warm seas.
The air mass indicated by moist warm air is a maritime tropical air mass. It originates over warm ocean waters and carries moisture and warmth with it as it moves over land.
