There are many avenues available through digital animation. But there are also smaller studios like Rhythm & Hues, Big Idea Production, Rainmaker, and Liaka that larger studios often contract to do portions of the animation work. In addition to film/tv animation projects, there is also much to do in the realm of gaming. For instance, Blizzard, Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Atari, Namco Bandai, Bethesda Softworks are game companies that need animators, modelers, riggers, and concept design artists. Some colleges also offer programs of study in this field. Cogswell College offers a Bachelors Degree in Digital Art and Animation.
