Hydrangea can be planted by splicing a low branch. You can shave the bark off, exposing the inside of the branchbend it gently toward the ground and cover ot with rich soil, maybe use a stone to weight it. Over time, this will take root...if you do this in late summer by the following early summer you should be able to separate the splice into its own plant.
