Same as for any other kind of party: a good quality bottle of wine or spirits; beer; meat or salad (if it's a barbecue) but check with your host to be sure not to overlap with their own planned meals. Food should be carefully packaged so it can be stored for later use if not used on the night. Special snacks and quality kitchen products, spices, potted herbs and so on, are always welcome and don't have to be used on the night. If it's a special occasion, books are good, especially the coffee-table type with beautiful illustrations. You can always check with other invitees who might know your host or hosts better, to discover their tastes. You aren't doing anyone a favour by focusing on their sexuality! If you feel a bit timid about this consider: would you take along a stethoscope or book on medicine to a party where your host is a doctor, or a sewing kit to a party where your host is a clothing designer? Of course not.
