The laser of the optical mouse may bounce off certain colors and shapes on a mouse pad. * There are no disadvantages to a optical mouse. The optical mouse just works better and smoother than the ball mouse, and you never have to worry about the ball getting dirty or hanging. I would suggest getting an optical mouse and throwing the ball mouse away. For this you definitly need the opinion of someone who has to sufffer the ball mouse at least once a week. ie: School pupils. I have two IT lessons a fortnight, and at our school you have a choice between overly chunky optical mice or cheap, way too light ball mice. I end up tolerating the ball mice as I am very picky about my mice. I, personally like mice with a bit of weight on them, but the thick plastic outer of the school's optical mice is ridiculous. Generally, schools don't provide pupils with mousemats on the theory that they will be nicked/tooexpensive, so the only way to get the ball mice to operate in a friendly manner is to clean it before use, or use your science book as a substitute mousemat. The moral of this long-winded story is:
A mouse is designed to move around a desktop or other surface. The trackball is made to be stationary (that is, it doesn't move around). Most people prefer a mouse, but a trackball is used when space is limited by lack of a desktop, say, if you're on a plane or bus. Older mice actually have a trackball underneath them, which responds to the surface over which the mouse is being moved. A trackball, on the other hand, responds to your hand moving over the TOP surface of the ball.
the difference is that an optical mouse hasn`t got a ball to use the mouse with but an roller ball mouse has got a ball to use.smelly nob
A roll mouse has a ball on the bottom which it uses to move whereas an optical mouse has a a light.
They are different ways of drawing micky mouse (btw he has big ears)
a cartoon character starting with the letter M could be mickey mouse , minnie mouse
One disadvantage on using online graphic organizers is the ability to draw fast by hand versus a computer mouse. Another disadvantage is that online graphic organizers are not portable or hand-held.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Mighty Mouse and Mr. Magoo are cartoon characters. They begin with M.

The laser wireless optical mouse has laser sensors to direct the mouse on the screen as without it is a roll ball used to do so.
Advantages: - Less moving parts = less likely to break - Easier to maintain, does not require cleaning - Higher sensitivity - Works on a wider variety of surfaces Disadvantages: - May have problems on glossy surfaces such as glass - Higher sensitivity - Many optical mouses have lights in them, which some people find annoying.
The price for an optical mouse varies depending on the brand, features and manufacturer. For a basic corded optical mouse the average price is about $10. For a wireless mouse the cost can range between $20 and $100 depending on the features. The average cost is about $50 for a quality wireless optical mouse.
Optical mouse: Most desktop computer users today have some type of optical mouse, which uses devices that emit and sense light to detect the mouse's movement.
I dont own an optical mouse
A: you need not to muve your hand around a table compared to a mouse
I would like to describe remaining advantages and disadvantages briefly. Mechanical Mouse:Disadvantages * performance and tracking ability depend on the surface the mouse moves * need mouse pad or any special surface * the cursor movement looks not smoother to the end user * When you use mechanical mouse, you need to clean the dirt or debris that comes inside the mouse so that the ball and rollers are able to move freely when the mouse moves * Mechanical mouse are heavy generally. Advantage * Low cost Optical Mouse:Disadvantages * Much expensive than Mechanical mouse * Mouse code is required. Physically should be connected to the computer Advantages * Optical mice usually function trouble-free for years * Early optical mice required a special mouse pad, but today's devices can be rolled over traditional pads like a mechanical mouse as well as over almost any surface other than glass or mirror * precision of optical mice is also much greater than mechanical mice * There are no moving parts to break or otherwise cause problems * Weightless Wireless MouseDisadvantage * Much expensive * battery required for some designs Advantage * Cordless mice are more and more popular because they can be used without physically being connected to the computer, which gives a sensation of freedom. * free up desk space and elimination of mouse cord * not need special surface
