The core is made up of Iron and Nickel.
Magma is the material found on the core.
The 3 main layers of earth (crust, mantle, core) are divided into crust, upper mantle, lower mantle, outer core, and inner core.
Well, It has about an Earth sized core made of rock material. The core is also surrounded by a layer of liquid that's possibly a water, methane and ammonia mixture. The core temperature is about 100 degrees Celsius.
I think its the last one. The material is hotter and denser. I'm doing the assessment now. ^ Brinaq: K12 FTW! ^ Kiwi: Yeah K12 FTW!
Information about these regions is obtained from the travel of seismic waves, and from high pressure laboratory studies. The inner core is solid because of the intense pressure due to gravity. The outer core is of quite similar composition, but under lower pressure, it remains liquid. Both regions are believed to be mainly iron and nickel, though there will be significant quantities of other heavy metals as well, including radioactive ones. It is because of heat released by these radioactive materials that the outer core is molten. (and by conduction and convection to the magma. )

Mars is rocky.
There are many different compositions of meteorites. The meteorites that are thought to be analogous in composition to the Earth's core are made of iron.
There is a large file on Jupiter's composition and other facts - in Wikipedia !
