Almost anything. You can major in math, philosophy, history, foreign languages, geography, psycology, sociology, almost anything you can think of. However, only occupational associate's degrees will really help you. Occupational majors that will most likely benefit you the most include business, marketing, management, accounting, finance, banking, customer service, hospitality, computer science, medical assisting, etc.

∙ 16y agoYour question is very vague. It is difficult to answer because you left no clue as to where your interests lie. There are countless associate degrees available. I would personally recommend nursing school. An associate degree RN makes the same salary as a bachelor degree in nursing. The main difference in the career paths is that bachelor degree nurses are often desired for supervisory level jobs. This however doesn't even hold totally true. It just depends on the job and the situation. BOTH degrees have the same board exams and both get you the position of Registered Nurse.
If you are in any way interested in health careers this may be right for you. Especially if you want to make the great salary that RNs make. Also, if you are a man you may consider this as a career as well because from what I have seen, men advance faster than women in the field. I have worked in this field for over 15 years and from my observation, I have noticed that men are often in supervisory positions, regardless of their degree. Just food for thought. Also, there are many many associate degrees in the health care fields other than nurses. You may want to check with your local community college and see what they have to offer. I live in Houston, TX, and we have one of the largest community college systems in the country, offering countless associate degrees, many of which are in the health care fields. I have seen degrees from nursing to nuclear medicine technicians, to physical therapy assistants, etc. Check it out!
